Square Shop lists 10.1-inch, 15.6-inch, and 21.5-inch MicroTouch displays, plus a wall mount, so a café line, food truck, bakery, or multi-station restaurant can choose a footprint that fits its workspace. KDS can receive tickets from Square Point of Sale, Square Online, Square for Restaurants, Square for Retail, and supported third-party ordering and delivery platforms. The display hardware is a one-time purchase; the Square KDS app is a separate per-device subscription on Square Plus or Premium, and Square Free does not support it.

The U.S. Shop lists the Kitchen Display System Touchscreen (10.1-inch) at $699, the 15.6-inch model at $749, the 21.5-inch model at $899, and the Wall Mount at $99. These are hardware prices per item, before any applicable tax or shipping shown at checkout. The display alone does not provide KDS service: install the Square KDS Android app, create a device code in Square Dashboard, and assign the station as Prep or Expeditor. KDS is an additional monthly fee per device on Square Plus or Premium.

Compatibility and operating limits

Square officially lists the MicroTouch 10.1-inch, 15.6-inch, and 21.5-inch devices for KDS. The app requires an Android tablet/device with Google Play enabled and recommends at least 3 GB of RAM and Android 9 or above. Square says it cannot guarantee display quality on other devices and will prioritize bug support for the listed hardware. KDS is Android-only; sellers using the retired iPad version must migrate to Android to continue access. A VESA-compatible mount can also be used, and the listed articulating mount is sold separately.

For a quick-service counter or food truck, a 10.1-inch screen can keep a small line focused on incoming tickets. A bakery or café with separate bake, drink, and pickup work can use routing and Prep stations to reduce handoffs. A full-service restaurant or bar can use Expo visibility and online-order routing to coordinate dine-in, pickup, and delivery tickets.
