Square Credit Card

Business spending credit that follows your Square sales

Square Credit Card gives eligible U.S. Square sellers a business spending line with unlimited 1.5% cash back and no annual, late, foreign-transaction, or other card fees listed by Square.

Built for your day-to-day

How it fits your business

You can redeem rewards as a statement credit, credit toward future Square processing, or cash back to an eligible Square Savings account. The card works wherever American Express is accepted, and Square lets you pay manually, by autopay, or with optional Smart Repayment that withholds 0%–15% of daily Square sales. It is not an open-to-everyone application: offers are invite-only, and the APR, credit limit, and other account terms are disclosed in the individual offer and cardholder agreement.

Key capabilities

What you can do

  • Unlimited 1.5% cash back

Earn cash back on every card purchase with no published category cap. Rewards can be used as a statement credit, applied to future Square processing, or credited to an eligible Square Savings account.

  • No listed card fees

Square says the card has no annual, late, foreign transaction, hidden, or other fees. Interest can still apply when a statement balance is carried, so the offer’s APR and repayment terms matter.

  • Spend beyond the Square counter

The card may be used anywhere American Express is accepted, making it suitable for ordinary business purchases such as supplies, fuel, utilities, rent, and repairs when the merchant accepts the network.

  • Repayment can match daily sales

Optional Smart Repayment can direct a selected 0%–15% of daily Square sales toward a minimum-payment or statement-balance target. Manual payments and autopay from Square Checking or an externally linked bank account are also supported.

  • Digital card while the physical card ships

If approved, Square says a digital card can be available immediately for card-not-present purchases. The digital card has a $5,000 spending limit before the physical card is activated.

Eligibility and account terms

Square Credit Card is currently invite-only for eligible Square sellers. Square evaluates factors such as Square sales volume, account history, account status, customer mix, card usage, repayment history, failed debits, chargebacks, and changes in processing behavior. The resulting offer supplies the APR, credit limit, and other terms; approval is subject to credit approval. Square continuously reviews some accounts for higher-limit offers, but sellers cannot manually request a limit increase, and individual transactions remain capped at $25,000 even when the line is higher.

Repayment and meaningful limitations

Paying the full statement balance by the due date preserves the following cycle’s interest-free grace period. If a balance is carried, interest applies to that carried balance and new purchases under the account terms. If a monthly minimum is missed, Square may automatically withhold a portion of daily Square sales until the minimum is met; there are no late fees, but this can reduce available operating cash. Square does not support third-party credit-card balance transfers at this time.

Acceptance, delivery, and security

The card is issued by Celtic Bank under an American Express license and works where AMEX is accepted, not universally at every card merchant. Square ships an approved physical card to a valid U.S. address via USPS; PO Box delivery is not supported and delivery can take up to two weeks. A digital card can be added manually to Apple Pay or Google Pay. The card can be locked in Dashboard, although a suspicious-activity block may require Square assistance to unlock.

No monthly subscription or card fee is published for Square Credit Card. It is an invite-only credit product; the applicant’s offer and cardholder agreement determine APR, credit limit, minimum payment, and other account terms.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Who can get Square Credit Card?

It is currently invite-only for eligible Square sellers. Square considers sales volume, account history, account status, and other factors; the offer and cardholder agreement provide the individual APR, limit, and terms.

Does Square Credit Card have an annual fee or late fee?

Square’s U.S. pages state no annual, late, foreign transaction, hidden, or other card fees. Interest may still apply if you carry a balance, and missing a minimum payment can cause Square to withhold part of daily Square sales until the minimum is met.

Where can the card be used and how are rewards redeemed?

Use it wherever American Express is accepted. Earned rewards can be redeemed as a statement credit, cash back to an eligible Square Savings account, or credit toward future Square processing; processing credits are based on current processing rates and expire 365 days after redemption.
